Editor speaks to business group

Business Development group members at 'The Hive' attended the first in a new series of networking lunches at the i-centre.

Chad editor Tracy Powell and business field sales representative Ian Broughton addressed the group about positive ways to publicise and market their businesses.

The 18 strong group then put their guests on the spot in a question and answer session, before enjoying a networking lunch.

The sessions, headed by Project Manager Mike Huxley, are designed to engage the development group with specific members of the business community, to broaden their knowledge and experience.

Said Tracy: "The lunch meeting was an excellent way to interact with people either just starting out in business or those still in the fledgling stage.  People just need the confidence to approach the newspaper with their story ideas or advertising initiatives, and we can put all our expertise to play in ensuring that their businesses gain the most from the publicity".
